But that’s the only 1993 car that still runs well

Toyota’s own fault for not understanding the concept of planned obsolescence

I to this day search Craigslist for clean 94-96 camry coupes. The dream vehicle is a xle v6 with manual coupe. But they all have gone to the grave yard or to collectors.

Toyota makes the best cars, and the 3rd gen Camry is the best car ever made :o)

Really, all the car anyone needs is a 90's Toyota.

93 maybe.

That little 92 Caravan I sold last year is still going strong.

I think now they just bake the planned obsolescence into the fact that no one can look at the face of the 2020 Prius every morning for more than 5 years without going blind or crazy or both.

A mk4 supra Turbo , a V6 Tacoma, and a Camry wagon would be such a perfect collection of cars.

As the owner of a ‘90s Toyota, and a Chevy pickup, and an MGB , I disagree. I need all 3. And don’t let my wife try to tell you any different.

Was there a manual V6 XLE?  For some reason I thought the high spec cars were all automatic.

That would work awfully well for me.

And the conservative styling works to their advantage, too. As long as they're clean and in good condition, they still just kind of blend into the background without standing out as somebody's tired old beater, unlike most 25-30 year old cars

Fair, and h ard to argue that, as I dearly love B-GTs. But p urely as transportation, none of us need the uncertainty of breakdown or pain in the ass repairs that our beloved old sports cars throw at us. I don’t need cranky 38 and 57 year old project cars, but I have them. I would hate not to, but really they’re only in the garage because I want them. I daily a ‘96 Nissan hardbody because it’s all I really need . Reliable, practical, reasonably efficient, cheap to run. I’ve owned a bunch of Toyotas, my wife drives an old Sienna, and I love 90's minitrucks because they drive like 60's sports cars but don’t break down.

Both my parents bought these when new (they’re divorced) my dad got a 1992 and my mom a 1993. I’m pretty sure they both lasted 20+ years

my 95 has yet to fail while everyone at my job’s 2019 luxury cars have all had mechanical issues where they’d been towed to the dealer lol. My boss’s new Audi has been the worst so far
